Hello Cupcake!!!
Its awkward to write about yourself, but I guess you might want to know who I am...

My name is Heather, and I got my start baking and decorating as a child, and was taught everything I know from my mother, who 'once upon a time' was also a cake decorator! I am a very creative person, and I'm not afraid to try anything artistically. I have done everything from airbrushing, animation, claymation, film post production, makeup artistry, ceramics, and so on...
I got my Bachelors Degree in Film & Video Production back in 2007, but found that baking always seemed to creep back into my life. Whether I was baking for classes, friends, or co-workers, cupcakes and cakes have always been my love.
I am a 1950's girl with a twist, and love everything from tattoos to pin-up girls! In my free time, you will most likely find me in my garage painting one of my pop-art black and white portraits of old movie stars.
New York Cupcakes has been home for since early 2009, and I find that I pretty much live at the cupcake shop (yep, its rough) and I truly love my job. I hope to share with you all of the fun things that happen for us here at New York Cupcakes, and keep you updated on fun events, photos, and more!
I might sugar coat my cupcakes, but I don't sugar coat myself!
